According to TwinTone they sold about 26,000 copies of the LP version and 51,000 of the cassette. Reissue on Roadrunner has been digitally remastered. (I won’t review the more recent LPs because they’re just not part of the HC/punk underground anymore. They’re great nonetheless.)

Their last album with punk/hardcore influences, some of the material is still cool punk rock. Most of the tracks are in the calmer vein of the more recent stuff, though, but still rough & honest. My favorite LP by this band, a great mix of punk, beautiful ballads and relaxed guitar pop. A Minnesota classic. I'm not reviewing their later albums because they don't really qualify as punk, but they're great nonetheless. [9]  

Die letzte Replacements-LP, die noch Punk- und Hardcore-Elemente hat. Ei­nige Songs wie Comin’Out oder Tommy gets his tonsils out haben noch einen wirklich knalligen Punksound; zum großen Teil sind die Songs aber schon im Stil der späteren/ruhigeren Sachen, hier allerdings noch eine Spur kantiger und rauher. Für mich die beste Replacements-LP, weil die Mischung aus schönen Balladen, relaxtem Gitarrenpop und krachigem Hardcore 100%ig stimmt. Min­nesota-Klassiker. Die anderen Replacements-LPs nehme ich nicht mehr ins FLEX auf, weil sie doch zu sehr vom Punk entfernt sind. Hörenswert sind sie aber auf jeden Fall.
