Debut EP of the California band that had a 7” on MCA in 1980. Three of the four tracks are slow-ish low-budget power pop but still have some punk snottiness (Boy’s Night Out has a keyboard in the background). Ugly Nancies is the only real punk track here; it’s still melodic but the guitar sound is much noisier. Not bad, but a punchier production would have helped a lot. From California. [6]

Netter Power Pop aus Californien; drei der vier Songs sind etwas lahm und dazu noch zu rockig produziert; ansonsten hört man aber die Punk-Roots noch gut heraus. Ugly Nancies ist dann ein richtiger Punk-Song, bei dem auch die Gitarren deutlich krachiger sind. OK, aber nicht umwerfend.
