Typical scene compilation, from the San Luis Obispo area (between LA and SF). Most of this is strictly amateurish garage hardcore, fast and noisy. About half of the bands still have a simple charm or some special energy or anger, the others just play boring generic hardcore. Of course you get the inevitable New Wave bands, too, but there’s only two of them, and the weird goofy Pyramod track is actually quite funny (Mood Room is boring new wave pop/rock with a keyboard). Well… it’s OK but nothing special. [6]

Typischer Szenesampler aus Kalifornien; die meisten Songs sind einfacher, krachiger und schneller Hardcore - etwa die Hälfte davon hat noch einen einfachen Charme, der Rest ist einfach nur langweiliger Einfach-Hardcore. Dazu gibt’s die unvermeidlichen Wave-Kombos, aber erstens sind es nur zwei, und zweitens ist der Pyramods-Song ganz witzig. Insgesamt kann man sich das Ding aber sparen, wenn man nicht gerade zu den Sammlern und Chronisten gehört.
