The story in a nutshell: All/Descendents members team up with their old bass player Tony Lombardo who has written a number of songs between 1979 and 1989. It basically sounds like a stripped down version of All, minus the angular, complex rhythms and the ingenious melodies; this is just good, melodic, tight pop punk with a certain emphasis on the bass guitar. Some songs are actual mini-hits, others are kind of trivial. All in all, it's an enjoyable LP - but no second Allroy Saves. [7]

Da ihr alter Bassist Tony Lombardo zwischen 1979 und 89 einige Songs geschrieben hatte, nahmen die übrigen All/Descendents-Mitglieder einfach diese Platte mit ihm auf. Die klingt eben so, wie ein All-Produkt zu klingen hat, kompakt, poppig und sehr gut gespielt. Einige Mini-Hits sind auch dabei, bei anderen Songs vermisst man dann schon die All-typische ausgefeilte Komplexität; soweit ist der gute Tony mit seinem Songwriting dann auch nicht gediehen. Trotz allem eine nette LP, nur darf man eben keine Neuauflage von Allroy Saves erwarten.
