Similar to Youth of Today on the East Coast, these guys (who later turned into Uniform Choice) spearheaded the straight edge revival on the west coast. Great sXe hardcore, similar to the first Uniform-Choice-LP, but rougher. Influenced by Minor Threat and early NY straight edge (Youth of Today). [8]  

Die späteren Uniform Choice klingen auf ihrer ersten EP, wie eine angehende Straight Edge Band eben klingen muss: mal wie eine etwas schnellere Minor-Threat-Ausgabe, mal wie eine NY-Band (a la Youth of Today). Unity gehören zu den Begründern des S.E.-Revivals, Musik und Message waren damals noch erheblich frischer und energischer als bei vielen der nachfolgenden SE-Klone. Sauber produziert, schnell und hart, die Texte sind gar nicht mal übel (das gesprochene To Risk ist was fürs Leben…) - ein S.E.-Klassiker, ohne Frage.
