Vaz are hard to categorize, driving and melodic mid-tempo hardcore rock with massive wall of fuzz sound; the closest comparison I can think of is “Jupiter”-era Cave In, but this is way more DIY sounding. The Sicbay track starts like some standard noiserock song but then the guitars go all weird and the rhythm gets more complex, too - interesting. Good and original. [7]

Zweimal merkwürdiger Gitarrenkram aus Minnesota; Vaz spielen eine Art Wall-of-Fuzz-Hardcore/Rock, melodisch und treibend. Es ist schwer, Vergleiche zu finden, Cave In zu “Jupiter”-Zeiten kommen noch am nächsten. Sicbay beginnen ziemlich standardmäßig und noise-rockig, dann allerdings kippt das Ganze, die Gitarren werden schräger und der Rhythmus komplexer. Zwei interessante Bands.
