Compilation from the Dutch Vera club, issued for the 950th anniversary of their home town of Groningen. Live songs by the club maker's favorite bands, all recorded at Vera, live sound is good but sometimes a bit too thin. Good live tracks by Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Silvia Juncosa and Leaving Trains. Most of the other stuff is rather mediocre - get the CD and skip the crap. [6]  

Eine Art Geburtstagssampler zur 950-Jahr-Feier von Groningen mit den Faves, die im Vera-Club bisher gespielt haben. Nette Live-Songs von Sonic Youth (tolle Lärmorgie), Silvia Juncosa, Dinosaur Jr, Leaving Trains und einigen anderen; der Live-Sound ist durchweg gut, manchmal leider etwas dünn. Ansonsten leidet diese Platte vor allem unter der üblichen Samplerkrankheit: einige Highlights, dafür aber auch eine ganze Menge Mittelmaß. Lohnt wegen der guten Tracks, den Rest muss man eben überspringen.
