If you expected a goofy pop punk compilation from this label, you'll be disappointed; there are some melodic punk bands here (Lizards, Buggerall, Pinhead Gunpowder etc.), but most of the bands are heading into different directions, ranging from gloomy, Ebullition-style hardcore to cowpunk, from sludge core to complex jazzy hardcore. Even Samiam and Jawbreaker who are usually good for solid melodic hardcore, sound noisier and more serious here. Best track comes from Sleep, slow, menacing and powerful. All in all, this is an odd mix, there are some good tracks but it's unlikely that you'll like more than 50%. [7]

Wer von diesem Label nur albernen Poppunk erwartet, wird von diesem Sampler sehr enttäuscht sein; es gibt zwar einige Songs dieser Art, aber die meisten Bands gehen in ganz andere Richtungen, von düsterem Ebullition-Hardcore zu Cowpunk, von Sludgecore bis zu jazzigem Hardcore. Sogar Samiam und Jawbreaker, ansonsten Garant für melodischen Hardcore, klingen hier ernster und verkopfter. Der beste Song kommt von Sleep, langsam, bedrohlich und gefährlich. Alles in allem ein etwas uneinheitlicher Mix, es gibt durchaus gute Songs, aber vermutlich wird niemandem mehr als 50% gefallen.
