Drummer Peter Prescott founded the Volcano Suns after his old band, Mission of Burma, broke up. Their debut still has some of the angular, edgy guitar work that MoB are famous for, but overall this much more straight ahead and rocking. Wild and furious guitar rock / post punk, somewhere between MoB and the Minneapolis/TwinTone bands of that era, catchy and melodic but always with that little magic. Their best and most accessible album. [8]

Zweite LP, die schon deutlich poppiger ist, aber noch genug Ecken und Kanten hat, und der Rock-Einfluss ihrer anderen LPs ist hier fast nicht zu hören. Die Produktion ist etwas matschig, aber mir gefällt der Hüsker-Dü-Gitarrensound sehr gut. Ihre beste LP.
