bad trip records. 300 / 2 tracks / mar 1980
RI: very bad trip. / 2000
1st pressing released March 1980, 500 or 600 made, 100 sold, the rest was kept until 1993 because the band wasn't satisfied with the B side sound. 2nd pressing didn't go beyond the test pressing stage (5 copies made) because the B side sound came out even worse. 3rd and final pressing (with a MUCH better B side mix) in fall 1980, 1000 made. Rest of the 1st pressing sold in Germany through Incognito Records in 1993. First pressing has “L 2093” and “300” and a small triangle etched in the inner grooves of side B. 3rd pressing has large triangle and “300”. A side is the same for both versions. The 2000 rerelease is probably a bootleg.
An early Jeff Dahl project. A side is extremely tough and noisy punk rock with a great guitar sound; this could have been released on AmRep ten years later. B side is a little more conventional punk, still very noisy and powerful. Great record; try to get the third original press with the better B side mix. [8]
