Like many other LA bands, WY turned metal in the mid-80s; unlike most of the others, though, who mostly maintained a basic hardcore sound and just added some metallic guitars, WY went all the way. Powerful speed metal with metal vocals, metal guitars, metal production, metal sleeve art. Not bad for that genre I guess, but I liked their first LP a lot better. [6]  

Wie viele andere Bands in den 80ern hatten auch WY irgendwann genug vom Hardcore und wandten sich dem Metal zu. Während bei vielen anderen Bands das Ergebnis doch meistens immer noch irgendwie Hardcore war, sind WY hier zur “echten” Speedmetal-Kapelle mutiert, vom Gesang über die Gitarrensolos bis zur Produktion. Für Metal ist das Ergebnis nicht übel, aber mir gefiel der alte Sound doch deutlich besser.
