+ label catalog, Thanx sheet and mailing list card. Cover art by Taz.
Nice box set with five 45s with tracks by Seaweed (powerful rocking & melodic HC), The Meices (rock hardcore, OK), Tilt (catchy pop core with a good female singer), Samiam (desperate emo core, OK), J Church (powerful HC punk with more grunge/rock influence than usual), Fluf (Black Flag cover, OK, but the original is better), Alcohol Funnycar (melancholic & powerful, nice), Treepeople (straight & fast with weird guitars = hardcore grunge), Down by Law (great hardcore à la Dag Nasty), Face to Face (good Descendents live cover). All songs are exclusive I believe, except for Seaweed (Sub Pop promo 7” B side) and Samiam (different to the version on Clumsy). High quality stuff here, good one. [7]
Tracks: Seaweed - sing through me // The Meices - burnin’ for you /// Tilt - confines of love // Samiam - time by the dime /// J Church - guitar center // Fluf - jealous again /// Alcohol Funnycar - chicken wings // Treepeople - yes my legs are broken /// Down by Law - dag punk // Face to Face - bikeage
