Like their fellow punk parodists The Meatmen, White Flag started to integrate more rock influences in the mid-80s. However, it's rather 70s rock than metal, and it's not that dominant, either. Alongside their original rocking and melodic punk tracks with the cynical lyrics there are the inevitable cover versions (Kiss, Blue Oyster Cult). (MN/bj) [7]

Die Jahre sind nicht spurlos an ihnen vorübergegangen, sie sind musikalisch noch besser geworden, kein Zweifel. Auch die Produktion ist wieder sehr klar. Aber die Bands, die gecovert werden, zeigen die Richtung, in die die Band 1987 tendiert: Kiss, Blue Oyster Cult… nicht unbedingt schlecht, ließe sich aber auch im Radio hören, wären da nicht die Texte… Übrigens wie schon bei der Third Strike LP eine beachtliche Spielzeit.
