On their debut LP the Wipers are still a bit more on the punk side than on their subsequent releases, and the song structure is somewhat simpler; so it has a slight Ramones/77-style punk edge. Still, with their guitar sound and Greg's vocals, this is anything but conventional, and some of the songs (like the title track) are genuine hits. [8]
Diese erste Wipers-LP ist im Vergleich zu den späteren Platten noch einfacher und ’punkiger’, Anklänge z.B. an die Ramones und andere 77er-Bands sind noch vorhanden. Trotz allem gibt Greg Sages Stimme dem Ganzen einen sehr ungewöhnlichen und geheimnisvollen Touch, und einige Tracks (wie der Titelsong) sind waschechte Wipers-Hits. Sehr gut.
