Positive Force pressings: #1 - Black vinyl, red YOT logo on front cover, some copies come with a sticker. #2 - Black vinyl, b/w front sleeve. Some copies come with black, others with blue labels. #3 - 100 made on black vinyl for Some Records in NYC, white labels rubber stamped with “Some Records” on side A. About 3000-4000 made of #1-#3 combined. #4: 100 reissued on orange vinyl in 1987 by Jordan and Ray to trade for toys. + lyric sheet with all versions. 12” is remixed, 2 bonus tracks. Schism press: First press with white labels, second press with red labels, both on black vinyl. German 12” available on yellow vinyl (first pressing). Revelation LP/CD reissue has the 5 tracks from Connecticut Fun comp. in addition to the 9 tracks; 4 test pressings on black, 217 copies on green vinyl. Possibly further pressings on black. Trivia: Ray Cappo was classmates with DJ Dmitri of Deelite at Danbury High.

This band and this record kicked off the mid/late straight edge renaissance almost single-handedly. This is basically the same rough and simple NY-style hardcore as on their subsequent LPs; the sound isn't as good, the songs are even simpler, but the energy and, most of all, Ray's great voice are all there. If you're more interested in the music than collector value, go for the remixed 12” or CD versions, they sound better than the 7”. A classic - but their LPs are better. [8]

Erstes Werk der S.E.-Wiedererwecker Nummer 1; im Prinzip nicht anders als die späteren Aufnahmen: einfacher, derber HC, der eigentlich erst durch Rays röhrendes Organ zu etwas Besonderem wird. Die Produktion ist etwas ätzend (die 12” hat einen besseren Sound), trotzdem viel Power. Gut.
