Songs recorded from 1977 to 1980. Singer Javier Escovedo's brother Alejandro played guitar with the Nuns.

Contains their three singles plus some demo tracks. They were one of the first American punk bands and definitely the first Hispano-American. Slow/midtempo punk with strong R’n’R influences, sometimes repetitive. Not bad but not exactly outstanding. (AT) [6] The early recordings are quite slow and boring but after that it gets a lot better - noisy and melodic punk rock. If you’re into early punk this is a must. CD version adds five great live tracks recorded at the Mabuhay, San Francisco, 1978. (bj) [7]

Die drei Singles und ein paar Demos der ersten Hispano-Punk-Band Amerikas. Langsamer bis mittelschneller Punk mit starkem R’n’R-Einfluß. Nicht schlecht, die ersten Aufnahmen sind ziemlich langsam und etwas monoton, die anderen Songs sind aber sehr guter melodischer Punk; auf der CD kommen noch fünf tolle Livesongs von 1978 dazu. (AT)
