Their final LP; a lot more mainstream than their previous records which doesn't serve their music very well because they need that edgy-ness and the warped melodics. The basic scheme is the same, but the ingenuity is just not there. Overall, a solid indie rock LP, but not more. [7].
Letzte LP der Band aus Kansas, die leider immer etwas im Schatten von Bands wie Mission of Burma oder Minutemen stand. Deutlich mainstreamiger und professioneller als die vorherigen Platten, was der Musik nicht immer guttut. Das Grundprinzip ist das gleiche und der "alte" Sound schimmert überall noch durch, aber die genial verschrobenen Melodien fehlen mir; es ist halt eine ganz passable Rockplatte.
