xxx History xxx

They started as an acoustic tree part harmony trio in pubs of Glasgow inspired by the American West Coast music of the era (Mamas & Papas etc.). Their first self titled album on the independent Concord label was a limited edition of 100 copies only. Something of a collector's item nowadays! They signed with Charisma and made a new and quite different self titled album shortly after Graham arrived.

Graham Smith:
"...After leaving school he studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London. On leaving the Academy he worked with various orchestras including the Hálle Orchestra with Sir John Barbirolli and the Scottish National Orchestra in which he was assistant leader..." (from the sleevenotes of Graham's first solo album Med Töfraboga/Touch of Magic, Iceland 1981)
